As for writing, I have an enormous stack of paper to get through in one year's time. I have to remind myself that the text is printed on only one side of the paper. Then I remember that, b/c there will be so much new material and so many changes in the details, I will have to revise twice -- at least. I'm not panicking yet. Besides, I've set my own deadline. I can move it if I want. But I've already told too many people I'm shooting for December 2011. To hell with that. It's my deadline, I can move it if I want! Nope, not panicking. Though I do need to stop blogging now and get to those revisions . . .

Stop blogging!? I'd probably get more writing done if I deleted my blog -- but where would be the fun in that? I'd like to finish the first draft of my WiP by December 31, but that would mean 60,000 words in 6 weeks. =[ Anyhow, very cool art, yet again.
There are several writers at LF right now who are posting their NaNoWriMo progress. One just celebrated the 40,000 mark, and that's just since Nov. 1. Wow, I don't know how she's doing it. Not worrying about quality certainly, not this draft anyway. I can't free-think for that long of a time-span. But it can be done ... if you don't have a day job, I guess.
What an interesting picture. Made me want to blow it up so I could see more detail.
You're right, you can change your own deadline. Then again, you might make the deadline!
Oh, gee. Reading this post again, I'm getting embarrassed. It's just a rant. Hoping to post something with more substance next time. ... :D
And thanks, Hel.
